Earthwork Superintendent

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- Minimum of 8-10 years overseeing multi-phase earthwork projects.
- Must have a valid Florida Driver License and Social Security Card.
- Applicants must also provide three current references, and previous work history information.
- Oversee/maintain job site safety per OSHA standards
- Able to work adjusted shifts. (AM or PM)
- Able to work overtime.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 2 to 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Foreman or Assistant Superintendent) managing crews and subcontractors.
- Manage and perform mass grading and excavation, subgrade preparation, road, and parking lot construction.
- Must be able to read and interpret complex civil engineer drawings, CAD layouts, and specifications.
- Calculate & shoot all elevations as required. TBM provided.
- Have good communication skills & Leadership skills.
- Must be able to do detailed material take-offs.
- Pre-planning is a must.
- Coordinate construction activities on large earth moving projects.
- Inspect construction work as necessary and ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.
- Be self-motivated and work productively. Motivate crews properly.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
- Prior experience successfully managing mass earthwork and grading.
- Complete, compile, oversee and submit various paperwork related to safety, equipment, etc.
- OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.
- Must be able to run multiple crews / operations
