Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking an Earned Value Management (EVM) Analyst – Level 4 to join our western region EVM Center of Excellence team. This role is located in our Redondo Beach, CA facility.

The position emphasizes mentoring, training, and providing EVM expertise across programs. A Bachelor’s with 8+ years or a Master’s with 6+ years, plus EVMS experience, are required; travel up to 10% and Top Secret clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience (or Master’s with 6+ years).
• Alternatively, 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong EVMS experience with cost and schedule management and EIA-748 knowledge.
• Experience deploying processes in an EIA-748 compliant EVMS.
• Experience with DCMA data-driven surveillance metrics and related tools.
• Proficient in SAP, SAP BW, Deltek Cobra, and MS Project.
• Strong analytical skills; proficient in MS Office (Excel).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%; ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Mentor PMO, CAMs, cost analysts and schedule analysts on EVM implementation.
• Develop training material and sessions on EVM topics for diverse audiences.
• Guide program startup and IBR preparation with PM and business teams.
• Support internal EVM surveillance reviews to ensure EIA-748 compliance.
• Assist in EVMS reviews with DCMA, audits, and process feedback.
• Communicate professionally with program teams and stakeholders.

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is currently seeking an Earned Value Management (EVM) Analyst – Level 4 to join our western region EVM Center of Excellence team. This role is located in our Redondo Beach, CA facility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a SME by mentoring, coaching and guiding the Program Management Office (PMO), Control Account Managers (CAMs), cost analysts, and schedule analysts on the proper EVM implementation and execution.
• Develop material and facilitate training sessions as needed to support programs and audiences of all sizes on various EVM topics.
• Provide Program Startup and business process implementation guidance, expertise and leadership (in collaboration with Business and Program Management) through active participation in program baseline development and Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) preparation and execution.
• Conduct and support internal EVM Surveillance Reviews (ISR) to ensure compliance with the EIA-748 EVMS guidelines.
• Support program teams in preparing, executing and closing internal and external EVMS reviews (e.g., Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Internal Audit). Provide program, division, sector, and corporate process and procedure feedback.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with program team, stakeholders, and various customers.
• Apply knowledge of the DCMA data-driven Earned Value Management Systems compliance process and current policy.
• Support programs in compliance with EVM and Program Control Corporate and Sector PrOP.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience in the same fields.
• Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong EVMS experience with Cost and Schedule Management skills; working knowledge of EVM and industry standards (EIA‑748 guidelines).
• Experience with deployment of processes in an EIA‑748 compliant Earned Value Management environment.
• Experience with DCMA data‑driven surveillance metrics and associated tools and processes.
• Experience with SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek Cobra, and MS Project.
• Strong analytical skillset and ability to communicate significance of results.
• Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top‑Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (with a full investigation within the past 6 years).
• Experience with Deltek CostPoint.
• Experience in a program oversight or auditing role.
• Aerospace/Defense industry experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 – $176,300.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as scope and responsibilities of the position and candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus and, for certain positions, Long Term Incentives.
