Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector seeks a Level 2 Program Control Analyst to be on-site in El Segundo, CA. The role supports EVMS-compliant cost control across programs, including setup, monitoring, and reporting of cost and schedule baselines.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience (or a master’s), and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred candidates hold an active DoD Secret Clearance and knowledge of COBRA, COGNOS, SAP, and EVM.

Responsibilities

  • Set up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  • Maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance including cost/schedule integration
  • Perform analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVMS system to maintain cost and schedule baselines
  • Financial CDRL deliverables
  • Assist CAMs with EVMS activities including WBS development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting
  • Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
  • Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Level 2 Program Control Analyst located on-site daily in El Segundo, CA.

The Program Cost Control Analyst will be responsible for supporting Northrop Grumman Corporation Aeronautics Systems programs in compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements and program implementation.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system

  • Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
  • Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
  • Operates in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, while maintaining attention to detail

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant, professional experience, or Master’s degree of relevant, professional experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency of the following systems or software: COBRA or similar project management software, COGNOS (SPFP - Planning Analytics), SAP Management Project Systems Module and Business Warehouse (BW)
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
