Job summary

State Farm is offering a summer internship in Bloomington, IL within the Earned Media team. You will support campaigns across sports, gaming, and entertainment, and collaborate with external agencies on storytelling and measurement.

The role focuses on developing media support, providing feedback to creative partners, and learning current PR strategies while working in a hybrid environment from June to August 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing/Advertising, Journalism, Sports Marketing or Sports Management.
• GPA 3.5–4.0 should be listed on resume.

Responsibilities

• Assist Earned Media team with campaigns for sports, gaming, entertainment and more.
• Provide feedback to internal and external creative partners.
• Identify current and next opportunities in PR and marketing.
• Monitor brand mentions and conduct competitive monitoring.
• Contribute to AI workstreams to improve efficiency.
• Help tell Earned Media stories using measurement tools.
• Participate in fast-paced war rooms during activations.
