Job summary

Herman N Logistics seeks a CDL-A dedicated solo driver for regional routes delivering home furniture and retail merchandise. You will operate a day cab tractor, with a 34-hour home reset, and weekly home time, starting shifts around 05:00–06:00.

Training includes two weeks with a mentor and hotels provided. Compensation includes a weekly average of $1,625 ($84,500 yearly), with hourly pay at $33.60, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and mileage/stop pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months of commercial driving experience acquired in the past 6 months.
• Requires physical strength for heavy furniture offloading and the use of hand trucks.
• Clean results from hair follicle and urine drug screenings.

• Earnings & Compensation

  • Weekly Average: Gross an average of $1,625+ weekly ( $84,500 yearly average ) supported by a $33.60/hr hourly pay rate.
  • Pay Breakdown: Mileage CPM from $0.74 to $0.90 , $28.00 per stop (~28 stops/wk), and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

• The Runs & Freight Specs

  * Operating Area: Regional last-mile routes throughout MD, DE, PA, NY, CT, NJ, RI, VT, NH, MA, and ME (virtually no NYC driving). * Freight Details: Hands-on delivery of home furniture and retail merchandise using hand trucks and hand tools (lifting up to 50 lbs; maneuvering up to 300 lbs). Outbound loads are preloaded; drivers load returns.

• Fleet, Training & Schedule

  * Weekly Reset: Depart Sun PM/Mon AM and return Fri/Sat AM for a 34-hour home reset (averaging 70 hrs/week with possible 1–2 mid-week nights home). Shifts start between 0500 and 0600. * Equipment & Training: Assigned day cabs (no slip-seating) that stay parked at the terminal during home resets. Includes 2 weeks of paid training with a mentor (hotels provided).

  * Experience Rule: Minimum of 3 months of commercial driving experience acquired in the past 6 months. * Core Skills & Testing: Requires physical strength for heavy furniture offloading, reliable daily personal transport, and clean results from strict hair follicle and urine substance screenings.
