Job summary

J Rose Logistics in Perryville, MD is seeking a local driver who will be home daily, enjoy a predictable five-day workweek with two consecutive days off, and participate in multiple pay streams including mileage pay and bonuses.

You will pull freight from the Perryville DC, service regional loops into PA, NJ and Staten Island, NY, work 10-20 stops weekly with pallet jacks, and operate in a 24/7 fleet with dispatch windows from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• 3 months solo Class A CDL driving experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Reliable personal transportation to the yard.
• Live within 45 miles of Perryville, MD.
• Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Pull freight from Perryville, MD distribution center and run regional loops to PA, NJ, and Staten Island, NY.
• Unload and load trailers with pallet jacks; 10–20 stops per week.
• Operate on a 24/7 schedule with dispatch windows 6:00 PM–1:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities & Fleet Details

• The Route: Pull freight directly from the Perryville, MD distribution center, executing dedicated regional loops into Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Staten Island, NY, before returning back to the DC.
• Active Unloading (Touch Freight): This is a multi-stop delivery fleet averaging 10 to 20 stops per week. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading trailers utilizing company-provided pallet jacks.
• Night Operations: The fleet operates 24/7. Available dispatch windows start in the evening and early morning hours between 6:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Experience: 3 months solo Verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
• Physical Stamina: Must be physically capable of lifting and pulling up to 75 lbs. routinely to manage pallet jack deliveries.
• Commute: Must have reliable personal transportation to commute daily to the yard. Trucks must remain parked at the distribution center and cannot be taken home.
• Must live within 45 miles of Perryville, MD.
• Must pass a standard DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
