Job summary

Idle Primary School is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a friendly, committed team. You will support our youngest learners in a safe, stimulating, inclusive environment.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare, EYFS knowledge, and strong teamwork and safeguarding commitment. You will lead when the teacher is absent and help children thrive through development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and supervise class in teacher's absence
• Solid understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children
• Experience working with children in early years settings

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing high-quality early years education and care and who can support our youngest learners to thrive in a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent).
• Be capable of leading & supervising the class in the absence of the teacher.
• Have experience of working with children in an early years setting.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Be committed to supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work effectively as part of a team whilst also using their own initiative.
• Share the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
