Job summary

Alleguard is seeking a Yard Driver to operate yard trucks and move trailers around the facility yard in Allentown. You will ensure equipment operates safely and provide customer service, complying with safety standards. Monday–Friday, 5am–2pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications include a valid license, clean driving record, and HS diploma or GED. Forklift or switcher truck experience is a plus, and ability to work outdoors in various weather is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Previous experience with operating a switcher truck preferred.
• Previous experience driving a day cab preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Docking and repositioning of trailers.
• Moving semi-trailers within a cargo yard environment.
• Inspecting both tractors and containers to ensure smooth maneuvering of all equipment and product.
• May be asked to use other equipment such as forklift.
• May be asked to assist in manually offloading and loading product or equipment.
• Clean out empty trailers.
• Fill out necessary delivery forms and paperwork.
• Use chocks and glad locks to ensure safety when unloading trailers.
• Other duties as assigned.
