Qualifications

Overview

Metalcraft of Mayville is looking for dependable and detail-oriented Assemblers to join our manufacturing team!

In this role, you’ll assemble parts and components to build finished products according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality specifications. You’ll use a variety of tools and equipment, inspect your work for accuracy, and work alongside other team members to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts and subassemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications

  • Gather the parts, tools, and materials needed to complete assigned work

  • Position, align, and fasten components to create finished assemblies

  • Use templates, measurements, and basic measuring tools to properly position components

  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper fit and quality

  • Identify and communicate assembly or quality concerns

  • Make basic adjustments to components when needed to meet specifications

  • Complete required production and quality documentation

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and help keep equipment operating properly

  • Monitor materials and supplies needed to complete assigned work

  • Safely and efficiently use tools, equipment, and materials

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Follow all company and plant safety procedures

  • Work with other team members and departments to meet production goals

  • Assist with other production duties as needed

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred

  • Experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly is a plus

  • Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions

  • Understanding of basic measurements and torque values is a plus

  • Strong basic math skills

  • Good hand and finger dexterity

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned work efficiently

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Strong communication skills

  • Previous forklift experience is a plus

  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is a plus
