Job summary

Biogen is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Development, Immunology, based in Biogen’s West Coast Hub, to contribute to early-phase (I-II) trial design and execution in autoantibody-driven diseases such as myasthenia gravis and CIDP.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with clinical operations, biostatistics, data management, and safety, monitor studies, interpret data, and prepare regulatory communications, while mentoring teams and advancing the immunology pipeline.

Qualifications

• MD/DO (or international equivalent) or PharmD required.
• Subspecialty neurology or neuromuscular experience strongly preferred.
• 0-2+ years’ biotech/pharma experience with clinical research exposure.
• Prior medical monitoring or investigator/sub-investigator experience.
• Experience in clinical study execution and cross-functional collaboration with R&D partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams (clinical operations, biostatistics, data management, regulatory, safety) to advance early-phase programs.
• Contribute to protocol design and execution for early-phase neuroimmunology studies.
• Provide medical monitoring, clinical oversight, and ensure patient safety in studies.
• Serve as liaison to CROs and investigators on protocol questions.
• Provide scientific input to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support data interpretation and clinical reporting for early-phase studies.
• Prepare health authority interactions and regulatory responses for development activities.
• Contribute scientific content for protocols and clinical documents.
• Support risk mitigation and safety management plan development.
• Draft clinical study documents (protocols, amendments, investigator brochures, CSRs).
• Champion patient-centered study design considering disease burden and patient experience.
