Job summary

Laboratory Assistant- Early Phase Clinical Research at ICON Salt Lake City UT seeks a detail-oriented professional to support technical staff with handling and storing biological specimens, quality control, and related tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring samples, consolidating containers, organizing documents, data entry, barcode labeling, and assisting pathologists with clerical work.

Bachelor's degree preferred; 1+ year lab experience; strong Microsoft Office skills; adherence to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate’s degree or high school diploma considered.
• 1+ year of related experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Experience using Microsoft Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle large workload and troubleshoot issues when needed.
• Time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to keep accurate, legible records and adhere to GCP/GLP/GDP.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring samples/Troubleshooting discrepancies
• Consolidating created samples/containers (i.e. slides, blocks, reports, etc)
• Searching and retrieving documents and samples
• Performing data entry/Monitoring e-mails and various correspondences
• Checking that slides/blocks are properly barcoded and labeled
• Assisting the pathologists with the technical/clerical work.
