Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois is seeking dependable, energetic individuals to join our Morning Program as Youth Development Assistants (YDA). This part-time role requires reporting by 6:15 AM, with shifts typically ending between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

The YDA supports before-school programming, supervises youth, leads activities, and helps members transition into the school day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or youth is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to consistently report to work by 6:15 AM Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of youth at all times and maintain a safe, positive program environment.
• Welcome members and families as they arrive for morning programming.
• Lead and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, enrichment opportunities, and structured programming.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with youth while serving as a positive role model.
• Encourage participation, teamwork, respect, responsibility, and positive behavior.
