Job summary

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Lead Package Handler at the Romeoville, IL hub. The role oversees loading, offloading, and sorting of packages and collaborates with Area and Operations Managers to train new hires and support metrics.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety protocols, guiding package handlers, and ensuring accurate handling and documentation. The role requires strong communication and basic English proficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of industry experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Regularly lift, push, pull 25-35 lbs; up to 150 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols.
• Train and guide Package Handlers with hands-on demonstrations.
• Oversee handling, sorting, and inspection to ensure accuracy and avoid misroutes.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance requests as needed.
• Check in/out third-party drivers and manage documentation.
