General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting all Customers courteously, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The Associate performs various tasks across the store as needed and may be asked to perform additional duties to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Create a safe shopping environment by maintaining awareness and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Treat everyone with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide excellent service.
• Respond promptly to Customer service needs and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support the Company brand and uphold integrity and honesty in all interactions.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain a clean store environment.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Organize and recover merchandise to keep the store neat and well-stocked.
• Expedite merchandise receipts and ensure proper merchandising.
• Understand and adhere to Loss Prevention standards.
• Follow policies regarding cash handling, refunds, and transactions accurately.
• Work efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize steps in workflow.

Qualifications And Skills

Effective communication, basic mathematical skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting are required.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Use of store equipment including registers and PCs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop regularly.
• Ability to lift and push/pull over 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use janitorial and store equipment.
