General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store functions as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Prioritize safety at all times, maintaining a safe shopping environment.
  • Maintain a clutter-free sales floor and ensure emergency exits are clear.
  • Greet customers courteously, assist with merchandise, and answer questions knowledgeably.
  • Respond promptly to customer service needs and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support brand representation and perform cleaning tasks to maintain store standards.
  • Adhere to dress code and conduct daily merchandising and recovery tasks.
  • Expedite merchandise to the sales floor and maintain familiarity with product departments.
  • Follow loss prevention policies and safeguard confidential information.
  • Handle transactions accurately, including cash and credit card procedures.
  • Work efficiently to maximize productivity and execute store best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

Effective communication skills, basic math skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting are required.

Physical Requirements and ADA
  • Ability to use store equipment and spend significant time on foot.
  • Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds, with stockroom shifts requiring lifting over 20 pounds.
