Job summary

Michaels Stores in Santa Maria, CA is hiring a Customer Service/Sales Associate to help customers find products, ring up purchases, and enroll customers in the Rewards program. You will assist with store operations, stock, and merchandising while delivering friendly service and maintaining store standards.

The role includes supporting omnichannel services like BOPIS and SFS, unloading trucks, and helping with planograms.

Qualifications

Retail or customer service experience preferred.
Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
Basic cash handling and checkout experience.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in locating products and providing solutions.
Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, enroll customers.
Educate customers on VOC surveys.
Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS).
Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs).
Maintain store recovery and in-stock merchandise; manage go-backs.
Support Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties.
Support shrink and safety programs; comply with SOPs and policies.
Interact with customers professionally and be a role model for team members.
Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
