Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is hiring for a Store Associate at our Odessa, TX location. You will help customers shop, locate products, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will also assist with stock, returns, and omnichannel processes, playing a key role in a well-merchandised, in-stock store. We offer benefits and opportunities typical for retail roles, including employee discounts and a 401(k) plan with employer match.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and offer solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and cash handling to standards.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; enroll customers.
• Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, and follow planograms.
• Perform merchandise recovery and returns processing.
• Do Store In Stock Optimization and AD set duties.
• Support shrink control and safety programs.
• Follow SOPs and company policies.
• Be courteous, professional, and a role model for the team.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
