Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Production Operator for the 1st shift in Kennesaw, GA. You will set up and run production equipment, process materials, monitor quality, and maintain a safe work area.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience and 1 year of machine operation. You will follow detailed instructions, monitor equipment, handle materials, and meet quality and production standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in manufacturing.
• At least 1 year operating production or packaging equipment.
• Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to product quality and details.
• Basic math for measuring/weighing.
• Reliable attendance with ability to work early shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and operate production machinery and packaging equipment per procedures.
• Measure and weigh raw materials to meet specs.
• Load materials into equipment ensuring correct ingredients.
• Monitor machines to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Operate equipment used to mix, process, or package materials.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and compliance.
• Collect samples for lab testing and follow adjustments as needed.
• Identify issues and report to supervisor.
• Operate packaging lines and small press equipment.
• Clean machinery and maintain work areas.
• Complete production logs and documentation accurately.
• Follow safety rules and quality standards.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean and safe production environment.
