Job summary

Daniels Health in Fresno, CA is hiring a Plant Operator to support our medical waste treatment facility. The role includes checking in containers, paperwork, moving waste, operating a forklift and loading an autoclave.

Ideal candidate enjoys variety, can think through practical problems, and works well in a team. The shift is 3:00 AM – 11:30 AM, with a 40-hour full-time work week and a competitive $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in a labor-intensive role with reliable tenure.
• Attention to detail with paperwork.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste using the weighbridge.
• Load/operate the autoclave (pressure chamber) to melt materials.
• Load the Washsmart sanitization system.
• Drive a forklift and handle hand trucks after training.
• Lift 55 lbs and push a cart weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for processing items.
• Stand for extended periods and work well in a team.
• Commit to consistent, timely scheduling.
