Old Colony YMCA Easton Branch is seeking an Early Morning Lifeguard for shifts starting at 4:45 AM. You will help open the pool, greet members, enforce rules, and maintain a safe, welcoming aquatic environment before the day begins.

No prior certification? Training is provided; employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Ellis Lifeguard Certification course, with required CPR, First Aid, AED and O2 certifications. This role supports community health and safety every morning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years old
• Current Ellis Lifeguard certification and current CPR/First Aid/AED/O2
• Maintains "Test Ready" standards
• Must be able to perform all physical tasks of a Lifeguard, including lifting an adult from pool to deck
• Complete program-specific and employee orientation training by required timeline

Responsabilités

• Open the pool on time and set a positive, welcoming tone
• Greet members and create a friendly atmosphere
• Monitor swimmers to ensure safety and enforce pool rules
• Support lap swim operations and organize lanes
• Communicate pool procedures and class information clearly
• Respond quickly and professionally to incidents or emergencies
• Assist with aquatic programs and events
• Promote YMCA programs to members
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
• Secure the pool area at shift end unless relieved
