FedEx Freight, Inc. is hiring for a dock/warehouse role in Spokane, WA. The position involves transporting freight between dock areas and trailers, using forklift and manual equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift heavy loads, and the capacity to work independently or in a team. Acceptable physical requirements include frequent lifting and movement of freight and operating in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing/freight handling experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight weighing up to 100 lb and dock plates up to 75 lb several times per day.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck as needed.
• Verify freight documentation matches description.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Assist customers with freight documentation.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Perform other duties as required.
