Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers, using forklifts and pallet jacks. You will verify documentation, secure cargo, and assist with freight-related customer inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math; use a calculator if needed.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized and manual equipment to move freight.
• Verify freight documents match description and weight.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Assist customers with freight documentation as required.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
