Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock associate to transport freight across the dock area and load to trailers. The starting wage is $22.77 per hour with a shift from 03:30 to 09:30, offering stable hours in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include operating forklift and pallet jack, verifying freight documentation, securing loads, repairing damaged freight, and assisting customers with freight paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Ability to lift freight and operate equipment multiple times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
