Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana (GCSI) seeks a dependable janitorial associate to support the AbilityOne program, maintaining clean and healthy environments at federal facilities in Indianapolis. The role emphasizes reliable performance, safety awareness, and effective communication with site management.

Location: Minton-Capehart Federal Building, Indianapolis, IN; Hours: Mon–Fri, 6:00 am–2:30 pm; Compensation: $17.20 per hour; and a benefits package under the organization’s program

Qualifications

• No degree required; demonstration of capability through prior experience.
• Ability to follow basic written and spoken instructions.
• Ability to perform simple one- or two-step tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Disinfect furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork.
• Wipe walls, ceilings and woodwork.
• Wash windows, doors, panels and sills.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste.
• Restock bathroom supplies.
• Set up tables and chairs for events in auditoriums or halls.
• Sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets and draperies.
