Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana (GCSI) is seeking a part-time janitor to keep offices and facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. This role supports federal government facility contracts under the AbilityOne program, performing routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, lobbies, and hallways.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 3:30/4:00 pm to 7:30/8:00 pm, with compensation at $17.20 per hour. The ideal candidate can follow simple instructions, communicate effectively with management, and work

Qualifications

• Degree and Credential Requirements - NONE! We value candidates who can demonstrate capability and articulate how prior experiences will help them contribute.
• Communication skills: Gives full attention to what other people are saying, asking questions as appropriate, and following instructions.
• General labor: Able to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions with minimal variables.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans and disinfects the furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Wipes down walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
