Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Team Member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks, including customer service, store cleanliness, and assisting with department operations. As a Courtesy Team Member, you will interact with customers and support teams to deliver above-and-beyond service.

You will help with cart retrieval, parking lot and trash duties, snow removal, and basic cleaning. This role offers exposure to multiple store areas and growth opportunities within the Meijer family.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend and twist while handling items or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from outside to inside of the store.
• Assist with parking lot, lawn and inside store trash collection.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishables and salvage returns as needed.
• Perform basic store cleanliness and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrance, lanes and parking areas.
• Coordinate with departments across Health & Beauty Care, Hardware, Pets, and more.
