Job summary

Kellogg Center is seeking a Student Bakery Assistant at the MSU Bakery, with shifts starting as early as 4am. The role involves assisting with preparation, baking, and packaging of baked goods for on-campus and off-campus distribution.

You must be a Michigan State University student and demonstrate strong customer service, reliability, and teamwork. Shifts run Monday–Friday and Sundays, with potential Sundays as required.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University during the academic year.
• Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Must complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Must take responsibility for work and self.
• Must demonstrate proper food and work environment safety, and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Must be positive and respectful, especially with a diverse population.
• Must be team-oriented, with good teamwork and communication skills.
• Must attend shifts as scheduled, with reliable attendance.
• Must be able to work at least two shifts during the week, and occasional Sundays.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support full-time staff and ensure timely distribution to on-campus and off-campus locations.
