Job summary

MSU Residential and Hospitality Services at Kellogg Center is seeking a Student Food Service Assistant to support full-time staff with prepping, cooking, and serving food for Kellogg events. You will help prepare appetizers, entrees, starches, vegetables, and other items while following food safety guidelines.

You must be enrolled as an MSU student, demonstrate outstanding customer service, and be able to work nights, early mornings, and weekends.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year).
Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.
Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Must be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population.
Be able to work nights, early mornings, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

Cooking, preparing, and serving food at the Kellogg Center.
Kitchen clean up after meals are served.
Communicate with supervisors, managers and other student team members.
Coordinate with supervisors job tasks that need to be completed each shift.
Other duties as assigned.
This position does not have a set schedule and times may vary depending on the needs of the company.
