Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepping and baking bagels
• Open Bake (starting between 4:00am-4:30am)
• Making all dough mixtures in a timely manner using correct procedures
• Understand rotation and shelf life of raw dough
• Clean and disinfect work area; set‑up and break‑down workstation; follow sanitation and cleaning procedures
• Proof bagels
• Recognize the importance of time and temperature
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
• Knead and shape dough
• Operate machinery to mix, knead, and shape dough
• Monitor the quality of the dough throughout the process
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and sanitized
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Requirements

• Willingness to work early (starting as early as 4:00am) and on weekends
• Team player in a small, hot space with high demand
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move quickly under pressure
• Experience with bakery or restaurant work is a bonus
• Disciplined, fast, and takes pride in consistency and quality
• Must be available for open bakery shift coverage and occasional front‑of‑house duties such as cream cheese scooping, vegetable chopping, cookie baking, dishwashing, general cleaning, and front‑of‑house service when needed
