Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a multi-disciplined IT professional to maintain mixed Linux/Windows environments, perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and server hardening.

You will manage development and production systems, automate tasks with scripting, and participate in COTS integration and security operations to support international missions.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows admin skills for config, management, and security tasks.
  • Ability to travel internationally on deployments.
  • Ability to script (Bash, Ansible) to automate tasks.
  • IT environment hardening and security management including Trellix.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration and operations of mixed Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows environments.
  • Provide system administration of development and production environments (server/app/network).
  • Perform COTS hardware/software integration, testing, and verification.
  • Support security activities including vulnerability management and access control.
  • Support deployment baseline usage at operational sites.
  • Develop and support automation (Python/Bash/Ansible).
  • Document defects and coordinate with the technical team on solutions.

What International Programs Does

The International Programs group is responsible for both the designing/building/procurement/integration and operations & maintenance of intelligence systems for international partners. In this role, we work primarily in the Valley Forge area and members of the team deploy roughly 4 times a year for 2-3 week trips to international (non-combat) locations to perform installations and upgrades of existing systems. The travel is coordinated between all team members to ensure those willing and wanting to travel do and those who do not, can stay local.

What This Position Will Do

This job requisition is aiming to find a candidate who will work in a multi-disciplined team environment to perform maintenance of both workstations and Windows and Linux/Unix servers--this includes but is not limited to patching, performing scan validation and remediations, hardening servers, installing and maintaining software packages and deploying new servers. An ideal candidate will be able to work in a cross-platform environment supporting Windows and Linux/Unix. Successful candidate will:

  • Support integration and operations of mixed Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows environments
  • Provide systems (server/application/network) administration of the development and production environments
  • Perform COTS hardware/software integration, testing and verification
  • Support system security activities including vulnerability management, access control and authentication, file system security, system hardening, compliance and auditing
  • Support operational site in use of the deployed baseline
  • Perform automation development and support activities (Python/Bash/Ansible scripting)
  • Document defects in discrepancy reports and collaborating with technical team on solutions
Basic Qualifications
  • Software installations, account management (Active Directory & Group Policy), virtualization, networking, hardware design, procurement and installation, systems engineering, test and verification
  • Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows systems administration capabilities for configuration and management, package management and software installation, troubleshooting/performance optimization, security support tasks
  • Availability to travel internationally (non-combat locations) on roughly 2-3 week deployments several times a year
  • Negotiable based on desirable candidate's willingness to travel
  • Ability to script (e.g., Bash, Ansible) to automate tasks and workflows
  • Ability to perform IT environment hardening/security management, including administration of Trellix
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. (Must be a US citizen)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
