Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking an Instructional Support Coach for the YMCA South DeKalb Early Learning Center in Decatur, GA. This role focuses on literacy and language development for birth to five, coaching teachers, analyzing data, and implementing evidence-based practices.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in reading or related field with GA provisional teaching certification, 1+ years of preschool teaching, and strong collaboration skills; a Master’s degree and 3+ years are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of preschool/pre-K teaching experience.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching early language and literacy and assessing student progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and training to school/center staff on scientifically based early language and literacy research and evidence-based practices.
• Coach teachers on administration and interpretation of assessments and data to guide instruction and grouping.
• Lead and coordinate professional development opportunities to disseminate literacy content and improve teaching effectiveness.
