Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Paraprofessional at Early Learning in Shawnee Mission, KS. This full-time daytime role supports children under ECSE, PT, OT, SLP, MT, and BCBA to develop cognitive, communication, self-help, social, motor, and sensory skills.

You will assist with daily activities, prepare materials, substitute for teachers, and participate in therapy sessions and parent conferences as appropriate. Strong communication and technological competency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of position-related experience preferred.
• First Aid CPR AED certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct support to children under supervision to develop cognitive, communication, self-help, social, motor, and sensory processing skills.
• Assists with self-care routines including diapering, feeding, toilet training, and hand washing.
• Prepares materials, organizes the classroom and storage areas, and assists with maintaining and ordering supplies.
• Substitutes for teachers and/or paraprofessionals when they are absent.
• Participates in therapy sessions and parent conferences as appropriate.
