Job summary

Cox Health operates the Child Care Center South in Springfield, MO, seeking a dedicated Teacher to help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment and support Lead Teachers in planning age-appropriate activities. You will greet families, assist with daily routines, diapering, and clean-up, while ensuring compliance with state ratios and regulations.

Required: at least 6 college hours or a CDA credential; preferred: related college coursework in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 6 college hours at an accredited college or university (or 3 hours in early childhood education if hired before 2018) or MOA Educational Waiver.
• Current CDA credential (Child Development Associate) is acceptable.
• Preferred: College hours related to early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
• Assist Lead Teachers in planning, directing, or coordinating activities.
• Greet parents and children at drop-off/pick-up and assist with daily tasks (diapers/potty training, cleanup).
• Ensure compliance with state mandated child/staff ratios and regulatory requirements.
