Job summary

YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo is seeking part-time Early Learning Staff for the Maple Location. Under supervision, staff will provide direct supervision, implement planned activities, and foster a caring, inclusive, and safe environment for children aged 3–5.

The role supports licensing compliance and adherence to association policies. This position requires engaging with families, ensuring confidentiality, and staying current with CPR and First Aid training.

Qualifications

  • CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise children in Maple Early Learning programs.
  • Facilitate educational and engaging activities for children ages 3–5.

The YMCA is committed to providing a high-quality experience for staff and students. Under the guidance of the Early Learning Coordinator and Lead Teacher, support staff will provide direct supervision to children in the program by implementing planned activities while creating a caring, inclusive, and safe environment.
