Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking an early learning professional to lead and manage the after-school program at Penn Hills Elementary School in Pittsburgh.

You’ll oversee daily operations, schedules, staffing, and curriculum delivery in a structured, high-energy environment, while ensuring safety and licensing compliance. Ideal candidates have a degree in education or human services and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special or elementary education or human services and 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 30 credits in relevant fields and 2 years of experience.
• Associate degree in the field and 3 years of experience.
• Associate degree with 30 credits and 4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations.
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections.
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements.
• Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met.
• Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success.
