Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking an experienced Early Learning Director in Virginia Beach to lead licensed programs for children aged 0–5. You will oversee daily operations, ensure licensing compliance, and guide curriculum development in a nurturing, inclusive environment aligned with YMCA values.

You will report to the Executive Director and manage staff, partnerships, and program quality while advancing the association’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Formal leadership experience in licensed early learning programs.
• Experience in program management, staff development, and family engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of licensed early learning programs serving children 0–5.
• Serve as Program Director for assigned early learning programs.
• Ensure programs meet Virginia DOE licensing requirements and quality standards.
• Support development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Build strong relationships with families and community partners.
