Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads seeks a Family Experience Leader to create a joyful, safe, and inclusive space for children and families. You will support holistic youth development by delivering engaging experiences that foster confidence and belonging in Family Programs and early childhood spaces.

Under the Family Experience Director, you will warmly greet participants, assist with activities, and ensure high-quality care and adherence to YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Assists and delivers care to drop in child care services (Stay and Play, Interactive Zone) as scheduled.
• Attends mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to dress code and policies.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet youth and families to build connections and ensure they feel welcomed.
• Support daily activities and routines under supervision of Family Experience Director.
• Deliver safe, nurturing care in drop-in child care spaces.
• Assist in planning and delivering Family Experience programs and events.
• Follow safety procedures and check-in/check-out protocols and report incidents.
