Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid CDA with 12 ECE credits or higher degree in ECE.
• Enrolled in a program leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree with 12 ECE credits within 3 years.
• Enrolled in a CDA credential program and obtain 12 ECE credits within 2 years.
• Must have reliable, insured transportation.
• CT child care first-aid, child CPR, and medication administration certification.
• Provide a TVCCA Staff Statement of Good Health signed by a physician, within 12 months prior to employment and every 24 months for current staff.
• Provide a negative tuberculin test within 12 months prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Care, supervision, and safety of center children.
• Assist staff in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.
• Keep classroom and playground clean, safe, and orderly.
• Oversee program operations in the absence of the Head Teacher.

Education

Valid CDA with 12 ECE credits

Associate's degree in ECE

Bachelor's degree in ECE

Enrolled in ECE degree program with 12 ECE credits
