Job summary

LIFESPAN Services Early Learning Center Statesville is hiring Teacher Assistants to support children with developmental delays and typically developing peers in a blended, inclusive environment. Training is provided, and employees gain access to a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One-year experience in a child care setting or working with special education students preferred.
• Must be registered to obtain North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials within 6 months of hire.
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with implementing activities to reach student goals.
• Develop relationships in the classroom promoting social-emotional learning and well-being.
• Support inclusion and integration in activities.
• Submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines.
• Complete initial and ongoing training and participate in staff development activities.
