Job summary

In GOD'S Hands Christian Youth Center is seeking Teacher Assistants to support curriculum implementation and create a nurturing, safe learning environment. You will assist with lesson planning, age-appropriate activities, and developmental screenings while collaborating with teachers and staff.

The role emphasizes adherence to early learning standards, ongoing trainings, and strong family engagement to foster lifelong learners in a faith-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing the center curriculum guided by the early learning content standards.
• Support writing and implementing lesson plans guided by the curriculum.
• Complete all apprenticeship requirements and required trainings (20 hours biannually).
• Provide a clean and developmentally appropriate environment.
• Assist with developmental screenings (Ages & Stages) and ongoing assessments.
• Support ongoing Teaching Strategy Gold assessments.
• Maintain continual parent communication and conduct parent conferences/transition meetings.
• Ensure Step Up to Quality guidelines and CACFP duties are followed, including kitchen cleanup.
• Ensure positive involvement and communication with parents and families.
