Job summary

Central Christian School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Early Education Assistant to support our licensed Early Education program. This role works closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, structured, and Christ-centered learning environment for young children.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a licensed early childhood or childcare setting.
• Ability to comply with Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) licensing requirements.
• Must be enrolled or willing to enroll in Oregon’s Central Background Registry (CBR) and be in good standing.
• Ability to meet required training hours (CPR/First Aid, food handlers, and ongoing professional development).
• Genuine love for children and a heart for Christian education.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing daily classroom routines and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Assist with supervision of children to ensure a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
• Help maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and licensing standards.
• Model Christ-like character, patience, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and redirection.
• Communicate effectively with lead teachers and administration regarding classroom needs.
• Follow all Central Christian School policies, Oregon licensing requirements, and safety procedures.
