Job summary

Center Point Church is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support daily classroom activities and monitor child safety. The role requires following the Lead Teacher's curriculum and maintaining a positive, calm environment for children.

The assistant will interact with children and staff, support developmental needs, and ensure materials are ready and organized. This position may be part-time or full-time, hourly.

Qualifications

• Must be patient and calm when working with children.
• Able to relate well to children and adults in a supportive manner.
• Willingness to follow and implement daily curriculum as directed by Lead Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement daily curriculum as directed by the Lead Teacher.
• Maintain a safe physical environment conducive to child growth and development.
• Respond appropriately to children's emotional, social and physical needs.
• Provide love, care, supervision and protection for each child.
• Consider individual learning styles and pacing for each child.
• Ensure equipment and materials are accessible and in good condition.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and administration.
• Maintain a professional image that reflects the organization’s values.
