Job summary

Save the Children in Louisiana is seeking Program Aides to provide educational experiences for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. You will report to the Education and Inclusion Manager and may travel to program sites or perform home visits.

You’ll support classroom activities, assist with meals and daily operations while upholding child-safety standards. The role requires strong English skills, high school or GED, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with families,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid within 90 days of employment.
• Solid understanding of working with infants, toddlers and preschool children.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational, relational and social experiences for young children.
• Assist classroom staff and substitute when needed.
• Perform janitorial and kitchen tasks as assigned to support operations.
• Follow Head Start Performance Standards and childcare regulations.
• Attend workshops, meetings and parent events.
