Ascend Rehab Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Early Interventionist/Infant Development Specialist to work with infants and toddlers with developmental delays in the Napa/American Canyon area, performing home visits.

The role requires passion for working with children aged 0–3, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and coaching families to support development in the child’s natural environment. Flexible full-time/part-time opportunities with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of early intervention experience with children aged 0–3.
• Experience delivering services in a home environment is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Reliable transportation to patients' homes.
• Spanish-speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing learning environments and activities that promote skill development across cognitive, communication, motor, self-help, and social domains.
• Curriculum planning to achieve IFSP outcomes for infants or toddlers with disabilities.
• Conducting assessments and writing detailed developmental reports for children on caseload.
• Coaching families to support child development and working with caregivers as the experts.

Ascend immediately seeks a dedicated, experienced, passionate, and fun-loving Early Interventionist/Infant Development Specialist to work with infants and toddlers with developmental delays and/or disabilities and their caregivers in the child’s natural environment.

The ideal specialists are passionate about working with children aged 0 to 3 and have knowledge of both typical and atypical child development.

The Infant Development Specialist's job duties will include the following:

• Designing learning environments and activities that promote the infant’s or toddler’s acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas, including cognitive processes, communication, motor skills, self-help skills, and social interaction
• Curriculum planning, including the planned interaction of personnel, materials, and time and space, is key to achieving the outcomes in the IFSP for infants or toddlers with disabilities.
• Conducting assessments and writing detailed developmental reports for children on caseload.
• Providing families with information, skills, and support related to enhancing the skill development of the child and working with the infant or toddler with a disability to enhance the child’s development while coaching the parents who are the experts on their child

Qualifications & Requirements:

• REQUIREMENT: Must have a minimum of one year of experience in early intervention working with special needs children ages 0 to 3,
• Experience working with children in a home environment is a plus
• A minimum degree (bachelor's) in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a closely related field, such as a master's degree, is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal)
• Reliable transportation to patients' homes
• Must be committed and looking for long-term employment
• Spanish-speaking is a plus
