Job summary

About Play is seeking an Early Interventionist to serve in South Carolina, focusing on birth to six years with developmental delays or disabilities. Must reside in SC and have at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities include family-centered services, in-home or natural environment training, and collaboration with families to support child development. Travel to listed counties is required; salary starts at $40,000 plus mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field
• Plus 1 year of documented experience working with children birth to six years old
• Prior early interventionist experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform Family Training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare or natural environment setting
• Provide training, education, and support to families in the areas of child development, parenting, and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
• Monitor the progress of the child and family.
