Job summary

S P O T, Inc. is seeking an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist to work with children aged 0–5 and their families in Northern California. You will assess, diagnose, and support developmental needs through home visits and developmentally appropriate activities.

The role offers flexible scheduling, per diem compensation, and benefits like medical membership and a 401(k). Travel to client homes is required, with HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Intervention, Child Development or a closely related field.
• Alternate requirement: AA in Child Development plus California permit and EIA competencies, with supervised fieldwork and 4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete developmental assessments and reports.
• Provide home visits to support parent/child interactions.
• Check in with families enrolled in the program.
• Educate parents and implement an early intervention plan.
• Create a positive environment for children and infants.
• Travel to each home as needed and maintain car insurance.
