Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services seeks Child Development Specialists to deliver home-based early intervention services across California, including Elk Grove and surrounding areas. The role involves developmental assessments, IFSP implementation, and family coaching to support child progress in natural environments, with some virtual options.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or teaching credential, plus preferred experience in early intervention and home-based service

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or credential in related field is required or preferred (Orange County only).
• Experience in early intervention settings is preferred.
• Experience delivering home-based services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and help families develop strategies to reach developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills; ensure progress generalizes.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings) and via virtual sessions.
• Provide reassessments and write progress reports (bi-annual typically).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
