Job summary

Pillar Care Continuum is seeking a compassionate Child Development Specialist to assess, plan, and implement developmental interventions for children with varying needs in a part-time role in Northern New Jersey.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, develop IFSPs, and provide educational activities to support families in achieving milestones, while handling documentation and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related health, human service or education field.
• One year of professional experience with children birth to five or six relevant credits.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood special education and NJ Early Intervention System rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and assessments to determine developmental levels and IFSPs.
• Create and implement educational activities to reach IFSP outcomes.
• Lead individual and group programs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Attend team meetings to monitor progress and plan services.
• Provide referrals for additional therapies and services.
• Complete required documentation within set timelines.
