Job summary

Easter Seals Greater Houston, Inc. is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for our Conroe and surrounding areas Early Childhood Intervention office.

The ECI Infant Development program focuses on children birth to 36 months with developmental delays or disabilities, with families actively involved in crafting goals. The role involves evaluating developmental skills, writing IFSPs, delivering home- or center-based services, and coordinating with families and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Continuing Education Units (preferably birth to three) are preferred.
• English communication skills including listening, speaking, nonverbal communication and writing.
• Texas State Board licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or CFY candidacy is required.
• Willing to drive 75% in and around Conroe and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess developmental skills of assigned clients from birth to age 3 using case history, parent report, observation and other professionals.
• Implement intervention plans for children with delays, maintaining IFSP timelines and written plans within 45 days of referral.
• Provide direct services to children and families at home, daycare, or other natural environments; start services within 28 days of writing the IFSP.
• Complete all client paperwork and documentation; proficiency with Providersoft and related software within 60 days.
• Manage scheduling to deliver at least 65 hours of services monthly as approved by Directorate.
• Communicate effectively with families, physicians, and community partners.
• Serve as the Service Coordinator for assigned clients as outlined in policies.
• Assist in development and delivery of educational materials and trainings.
• Identify and refer for related services (audiology, education, medical, psychology, etc.).
• Maintain ethical conduct and comply with agency policies and procedures.
• Represent Easter Seals by participating in events and outreach.
