Job summary

Criterion Medford Early Intervention Program is seeking a full-time Program Director who reports to the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director. The role oversees staff performance, training, and compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree preference in related fields, three years pediatric experience, and two years supervisory experience; state registration and Department of Public Health certification timelines

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in a related field such as early childhood development, pediatric therapy, or mental health.

Responsibilities

• Relate to children, parents, and co-workers with tact and courtesy.
• Comply with agency, state and federal documentation requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and agency policy.
• Recruit and supervise staff; provide orientation and training.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and supervision.
• Participate in screenings, assessments, and home/center visits as part of a trans-disciplinary team.
• Facilitate referrals to schools and other providers; maintain communication with physicians and clinics.

Education

Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college in early childhood development, pediatric therapy or mental health

The primary focus of early intervention is to provide education, training, and support to families to help their children learn and grow. We provide services in the home, at our early intervention centers, and in the community.

Job Description

Criterion Medford Early Intervention Program is currently seeking a full time Program Director.

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

• Possesses tact and courtesy when relating to children, parents and co-workers.
• Complies with all agency, state and federal documentation requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality as specified by agency policy, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participates in recruitment and termination of staff.
• Provides orientation and training to staff.
• Provides supervision to all staff.
• Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations
• Participates in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
• Facilitates referrals to school systems and other community providers.
• Maintains appropriate communication with physicians, clinics and other community agencies.
• Meets with the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college in a field related to early childhood development, pediatric therapy or mental health.
• Three (3) years pediatric experience. Two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Current Massachusetts registration, if applicable.
• Current Malpractice Insurance, if applicable. Obtains Department of Public Health Early Intervention Director Certification within specified timelines.
